Dear Diary,

I seriously do not know what to do! We have no money, and furthermore, I just learnt that Hari had ran away to Bombay. Why did he do such a thing? He is so foolish! I sure hope he is resourceful and survive there as I heard that it is very hard to live there, as the cost of living there is very high. I don't even think he has brought any money with him, at most around 10 rupees. Anyway, I still have a lot of domestic problems that we are facing. Firstly, Mother is getting sicker and sicker by the day and just two days ago, the evil and bad Kharnakhar brothers even poisoned Pinto, my beloved dog! I feel so stressed, having to do chores everyday. I feel like complaining out loud! Oh well, time for Bela and Kamal to go to school, I'd better prepare breakfast for them.

Lila's reaction to 3 Things in the Story

These are the images that I have picked from the Internet. They are as follows:

These are the reasons why I chose these pictures:

1) When Lila offered flowers to the sacred rock in the sea, she felt very relaxed and calm, which is the same expression as the first picture. Therefore, I chose this picture as I felt that this picture was the one that most resembles Lila's expression .

2) When the medicine man arrived to help her mother, I think she felt very relieved. This is because she thought that the medicine man would definitely be able to cure her. Therefore, I felt that this picture resembles Lila the most.

3) When Pinto died, Lila must have felt very sad as her very loyal friendhave been poisoned and killed. Pinto had always followed her everywhere she went, therefore to have lost a pet and friend like that, she must have been devastated.
