Dear Diary,
What should I do? My lousy father is drunk and my poor mother is sick!I feel so sad! My father owes the two evil brothers money as he borrows them to buy toddy. Instead of earning money for the family, he uses it and owes people depts! That is why now, I am the sole breadwinner of the family. I so do wish that Father had not sold the boat and bought even more beer as now, I cannot even go fishing! I also feel very confused. My friend said that there was some sort of factory that is coming to our little village. I wonder if I can work there. However, I do not think that I am able to do so as I did not receive any form of education. Perhaps I could also fish in Biju's new boat that he is so proud of. However, I do not think it is safe as it might not be as hardy as it seems. Ah ha! I know what to do! I can just run away from home, go to the Bombay and try to earn money there! If I do that, maybe I can earn enough money to support my family! But as much as I want to earn money, I do not want to go there as I will definitely miss Lila, Bela, Kamal, and Mother. I do not want to think about them anymore, as that will make me feel very sad, having to leave them. Anyway, who cares? The two brothers killing Pinto by poisoning it was the last straw. I cannot stand it anymore. Well, I'd better pack up and leave for Bombay!
Love,
Hari

Music that fits "Village By The Sea"
This is the URL to listen to the music that fits "Village By The Sea":
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1iObovBfds
I feel that this song really suits the story as firstly, the story takes place by the sea. Secondly, the music is very calm, just like in the story, where the village is not mordernized yet and it still very natural, and green.

Chapati and Roti Prata
Chapati is a flat pancake-like bread, usually made of whole-wheat flour, baked on a griddle. This is what you need for making chapati:
• 5 tbsp Melted ghee or margarine
• 3 - 6 tbsp Vegetable oil
• 1 Cup warm milk
• 1 tsp Salt
- 2 cups of whole-wheat flour
- water, milk or yogurt
- salt for taste
- 2 tbsp of veg/canola/sunflower coking oil
This recipe can make around 12 chapatis.
As for roti prata, you will need more ingredients, so I guess roti prata will taste better than chapati. These is what you need for to make roti prata:
• 3 Cups flour• 5 tbsp Melted ghee or margarine
• 3 - 6 tbsp Vegetable oil
• 1 Cup warm milk
• 1 tsp Salt
